The thrill of exploring different countries, cities and locations can be an enthralling experience for anyone. The world has a lot to offer and getting the chance to indulge in the local culture and meet new people can be a truly unforgettable experience. Italy is one such location where you can easily find activities and locations suitable to your specific tastes.
Grabbing a backpack and breezing through the country is really experiencing Italy at its best. Start off at the lush, beautiful vineyards of Tuscany where the local wine paired with generations of history holds its own intoxication. Tuscany is a true place where the land is one with the people, as the locals focus on using the land to enrich the experience of the city. Farmer's kitchen is a phrase often used to describe Tuscany as the local produce is used to create exquisite cuisines by local chefs to celebrate the land.
The calm, romantic Venice has also become the perfect place for art to flourish. And your inner artist can find local art galleries to masquerade shops at every turn. The restaurants, along with the canals flowing through the city, are the perfect place to meet the locals at and truly live the Italian life, with the added benefit of great food!

Slowing it down just a tad – the nature-filled landscapes of Southern Italy are a true joy. From Greek-influenced Paestum, where one can find one of the oldest temples in history dedicated to the Goddess Hera, to the sugar sand beaches of Tropea, southern Italy has it all. The region holds some great tourist-friendly local towns like Alberobello, where the unique architecture in the shape of conical houses is a sight to behold.

Moving onto bigger cities like Milan and Rome brings with it a joy of its own. Milan is a world-famous hub for fashion with a flair for luxury and culture. People flock to Milan for shopping destinations like Via Monte Napoleon, which is one of the most prestigious shopping areas in the world. Fashion events like Fashion Week or Milano Unica are a great chance to catch the local expression of fashion, as well as get a sneak peek into international work.

The pride of the locals in their history is quite apparent, and there is nothing like discussing Rome with them. Popular tourist locations like the Vatican City, the Coliseum, the Trevi fountain and the Pantheon are just some of the grand marvels that are part of a long list of Rome wonders. Travelling is more than just visiting places for the landmarks. Meeting locals and appreciating the sights and sounds can really expand your horizons, especially if you take time out to appreciate the local culture, history, and food. Italy is a destination where you can surely experience it all!
