3 things to do in fall

Updated: Oct 11, 2021

So fall is not that bad after all. Living through a pandemic makes it more challenging, but it is, what it is. And my level of appreciation, for the simplest things, has taken on a whole new life. So here I am, living through some of the most unprecedented times in history, and yet I can rejoice. This pandemic is coming to the end of the year, but there's no end in sight. But yet, I still rejoice, because I have so much to be grateful for.

Lately I have been thinking about doing more, and by more. I mean outside of my house, including my backyard. Because like most people, I miss going places. But I also want to be safe. With covid cases on a rise, there's no time to go back to the old norm. It's just not safe there any more. Time to move forward and create new norms, while enjoying some of the old norm activities. I know, it's sounds more complicated than it is. I did a little research and with the help of a few Instagramers who shared some ideas with me, right on my IG page. Here's what I came up with.

I put together a list of 3 things you can take advantage of this fall season.

Here it goes:

Apple Picking

I have never tried it before. But from what I can see, it's gaining more popularity than ever before. And if you're looking to have some seasonal fun, and keep safe during this pandemic. Then apple picking might just be your jam.

Think of all the things you can do with your picked apples. You can make apple cider. One of my favorite fall drinks. Candy apples, this is a favorite from my childhood. It is so much fun. There are so many kinds of recipes out there. You can really get creative, and think outside of the apple. Lol. I recently bought a candy apple kit through Amazon. I can't wait to make, and eat mine. I also love to juice apples. Freshly juiced apples are good for you. You know what they say. An apple a day, keeps the doctor away. And with the virus spreading like it is, I'm trying to avoid doctor's offices if at all possible. And what about apple pie? I can just smell it now, baking in my oven at 350 degrees just enough to brown the top, just the way I like it.

Pumpkin patches or corn mazes are similar in experience, and may be worth trying too.

Fall Photos

Say this 5 times fast. Fall photos!! I recently did a photo shoot, mostly for my blog. So expect to see some new pictures of me, between these pages and links. Lol But a fall photo shoot with family is much more fun. Especially if you have little ones. This is the season you can catch them in their little boots and jean jackets. Frocklying in the leaves, laughing and screaming, as they fall bottom first, into the pretty fall leaves. Oh how I remember those days. It's so beautiful in fall, you can really capture some of the most gorgeous nights in this season. Or right before the sun sets. The earth is really something to marvel at, I tell yea. I found my photographer on IG. Be sure the photographer you hire has experience, a website and good reviews. She did an awesome job!

Wine Tasting

I don't think that I have ever tasted a wine that I didn't like! Now if you're a wine lover, like me. You will probably love it too! I'm no wine connoisseur, but I play one when I am wine tasting. So just go along with it.

Lol. If you are married, what a way to create a romantic and memorable experience. It is the perfect date night, on a beautiful fall night. I hear that some places will allow you to make, bottle and taste the wine. You can even create your own label. Wondering what my label would read. Not sure, but I can tell you, I like my wine dry. Make sure to bring plenty of sanitizer, as you move in between bottles of wine. In addition, check to see how is the winery keeping you and your babe safe!
